The Metro Silver Line Project is one of the most exciting current events happening in Northern Virginia. However, that excitement can only continue to build as a delay in the opening of the new Silver Line stations has met a delay. WTOP reports that Sam Carnaggio, director of the Dulles Corridor Project at MWAA has indicated the stations will now open in January, 2014, citing weather as a reason for the delay. With 94% of construction finished, the entire project is expected to be handed over to MWAA by October 1, 2013, allowing for three months for testing, hiring and training staff.
