Creating affordable convenience is one of the hallmarks of any store, and when it comes to upping the ante of a commercial development, there may not be any better “anchor” than Wal-mart. Sun Gazette reports that a new “urban format” Wal-Mart has opened up in Tyson’s Corner, with a celebration that included local residents, politicians and the work of  artist, Robert Cole. The new 79,000 sq. ft. store looks ahead at the upcoming Tysons-Spring Hill Metro Station, giving Silver Line Metro riders the ability to shop while commuting, as well as offering 24/7 hours for residents within the homes surrounding Tyson’s Corner.
